The Winter Mexican avocado is a hybrid between Mexican and Guatemalan avocado varieties and has both cold (20 degrees) and heat tolerance.

Winter Mexican avocados trees produce small-to-medium sized, green fruit with light colored flesh and a mild flavor.
Trees are self-fertile but will have an even heavier fruit set when planted with other avocado varieties.
Winter Mexican is a late-season avocado here maturing its fruit from December through January.
