Brown Turkey fig trees can be grown as a single-trunk tree or as a multi-branched shrub. 
This fig cultivar was bred to be more cold hardy than other fig cultivars and quickly grows to a mature size of 10 to 30 feet tall and wide.
Brown Turkey figs ripen in two waves. The first smaller flush can typically be harvested in late spring (late May/early June). The main crop ripens in late summer/early fall (around September-November).
