- Sabal Minor dwarf blue-stem palmetto is a small, evergreen, usually stemless, slow growing, perennial shrub in the palm family (Arecaceae) native to the Southeast US.
- It does well in damp, shaded places. Although this plant grows native in areas of high to moderate moisture, once established it is fairly drought tolerant.
- Mature plants can be 4' - 9' tall & wide and are primarily used as an understory plant.
- Flowers are yellowish-white in late spring followed by black, small-sized EDIBLE fruits that taste like dates. YUM!
