Plant - Tomato - Cherokee Purple

* Cherokee Purple is an heirloom variety of tomato that develops a fruit with a deep, dusky-purple pink color while maintaining a somewhat greenish hue near the stem when mature. It has a deep crimson interior.
* Cherokee Purple tomatoes are often “fun-shaped” with three to five large lobes, have a superb sweet flavor, and are very large-sized fruits (averaging 10-16ozs!).
* Indeterminate (tomatoes ripen over a long period of time).
* These plants can be tall and stocky. They need a sturdy trellis or a beefy cage system!
* As with all tomatoes in Florida - they will appreciate some afternoon shade.
