* Sweet, pineapple-flavored, yellow ground cherries on short plants (12-18").
* Ground cherries are sweet cousins to tomatillos - and similarly grow in husks. Enjoy the fruit once the husks have fallen to the ground. "Peel" and eat straight out of the garden or leave them in their husks for several weeks of storage (they store well in their husks)
* Naturally high in pectin, they make great preserves and pies as well.
