  • Plant me in a partly shady spot please! Will bloom best with 1 to 2 hours of direct sun or 3 or more hours of dappled light. 
  • Tolerates seasonal flooding.
  • Small, colony-forming perennials, 8-15 in. tall, with thick, shiny, grooved, grass-like leaves forming loose clumps.
  • Perennial wildflower that blooms late winter through early summer.
  • Its showy, solitary flowers are white, sometimes tinged with pink.
  • Flowers are followed in 5-6 weeks by a green seed capsule. Allow the seeds to turn black before collecting (this should be in early June) or allow the rain lilies to self seed. If you collect the seeds store the dry seeds in a sealed, refrigerated container.
